A Bit About Me
I was born in El Salvador on August 25, 1958, and immigrated to Canada in 1982, escaping the civil war. I settled in Montreal and became part of the Jewish community, attending Beth Zion Synagogue and later the MADA Community Center.
Throughout my life, I have always been someone who loved helping others. Whether offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply being there for someone who needed support. I also loved reading, something I enjoyed my entire life until my health made it difficult.
In 2015, I suffered a stroke that changed my life. I lost part of the vision in my right eye, never fully recovered my speech, and was no longer able to work. My kidney function continued to deteriorate, and in December 2017, I began dialysis every second day.
Despite everything, I remain grateful for each day and for the people who have supported me throughout my life. Today, I am hoping to find a kidney donor who can give me the chance for a healthier future and, most importantly, more precious time with my family, friends, and community.
If you are able to consider becoming a living kidney donor, you could give me something truly priceless. The opportunity to live more fully and make more memories with the people I love.
