A Bit About Me

I was born in Lyon, France, and when I was two years old, my parents relocated us—my older brother Gerard, who was 18 months older and passed away in 2021, and me—to Mexico City. Four and a half years later, my younger brother Roland was born. During our time in Mexico, we attended a Sephardic Synagogue.

I married my wife Gabriela in 1979, and we moved to Vancouver the following year, where we built our life and raised our two sons, Daniel and Eric. After working as a biologist and later running my own printing business, I eventually retired in 2017 and began volunteering in my community.

Family has always been at the center of my life. I love cooking, blending French, Sephardic, and Mexican cuisines, and sharing meals with the people I care about most. Now, as a grandfather to two little girls born just 13 days apart, I feel an even deeper joy and purpose. I want nothing more than to watch them grow and be an active part of their lives.

For years, my kidney function has been declining despite doing everything possible to slow it down. Now, I am approaching the need for dialysis.

Finding a kidney donor would give me the chance to continue being present for my family, especially my granddaughters, and to keep living the full, connected life that means so much to me.
